For anyone trying to put the vape down
It wasn't the nicotine. It was the exhale.

❝Ditch the vapes… let's make the shift together.
From a customer's own video
Every drag ends in a long, slow breath out against resistance. That's the part that settles you. Same hand-to-mouth, same exhale, nothing in it.

Why quitting keeps failing
You're not quitting one habit. You're quitting three.
Patches and gum deal with the chemical. Nothing in them touches the other two, and the other two are what break people on day nine.

200Times a day
A pack a day is around two hundred hand-to-mouth movements, and a disposable vape is more. It's what your hands do when the call goes badly, when you step outside, when the traffic won't move. Take the object away and the movement has nowhere to land. You draw on the Shift exactly like a drag.

10Second exhale
The reason a drag settles you isn't the chemical arriving. It's the long, resisted breath out that follows it. The Shift's chamber is machined to a patented diameter that stretches your exhale to about ten seconds, against roughly two on your own. Same physiology. Nothing is burning.

4pmThe hour it fails
The vape became the thing you reach for when the day gets loud, and quitting asks you to stop reaching. That is why it ends on a bad Tuesday afternoon rather than in the first week. Keep the reach and change what's on the end of it. It works because it's already around your neck.
And the fourth thing you get back
The money, which is not a small number.

A disposable every other day$125–305 /mo
A pack a day≈$300 /mo
The Shift$79 once
At the bottom of that range it pays for itself in nineteen days. There are no refills, cartridges or batteries after that, so the losses stop there permanently.

The object itself
Two inches of surgical steel and a hole with a patent on it.
- 316 high-polish stainless steel, pendant and box chain
- Pendant is 2 inches; the circumference is what supports the 10-second exhale
- Whisper quiet, so you can use it in a meeting without anyone noticing
- Nothing to charge, refill, replace or inhale. Rinse it with warm water
- Designed by a breath coach and psychotherapist. Komuso, est. 2017, the original

The Shift is a breathing tool. It is not a nicotine replacement therapy and not a medical device. Customers quit with it; it does not do the quitting for you.

The guarantee, in plain words
Thirty days. No questions, no forms.
Wear it for a month. Use it every single time you'd have reached for the vape. If it hasn't earned its place by then, email info@komusodesign.com and ship it back from anywhere in the US, free. We would rather refund you than have you keep something that isn't working.
You're not the first to ask
The questions everybody sends us.
Can I actually inhale through it?
We didn't design it for that, and it's the first thing most people ask. Customers take a draw through it because the air resistance is close to hitting a vape, then exhale back through it. The exhale is the half that does the work.
Isn't it just a straw?
A straw is the wrong diameter. The circumference is patented to a specific size because that is what stretches an exhale to roughly ten seconds. A straw also isn't around your neck at four in the afternoon, which is the moment that decides whether you quit.
How is it different from a patch, gum or a vapor inhaler?
Those are built for the chemical and nothing else. The Shift ignores the chemical entirely and takes the other two problems: the hand-to-mouth and the exhale. Plenty of customers use both at once, and that is a sensible way to do it.
Will it make me quit?
No. You quit. What it does is cover the two parts of quitting that willpower is worst at, so a craving passes instead of winning. The comments further up are the honest version of what that looks like, including the people who took a few weeks to get there.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Thirty days, free return inside the US, refunded. That is the whole policy.
It wasn't the nicotine. It was the exhale.
That part you get to keep. Two inches of steel, $79, and thirty days to decide it was a bad idea.
